Classes 9-12 of 15

Here's one long post to get us most of the way through the rest of the class...

After this post you will have almost everything needed to finish the semester. I'll write about search engine optimization next week and give you a short quiz on that topic. But the majority of your time this week should be spent working on your Wordpress assignment and getting your website ready to show off to the world.

Today I am going to introduce you to Wordpress widgets and plugins. Then you are going to install a few plugins (there are three that are required for the class).

Class 3 of 15

Welcome to Day 3. Congratulations on making it past HTML. I promise that's the least fun part of this class (which means if you enjoyed HTML, then you're going to LOVE the rest of this class).

Oh, and we'll still be using HTML moving forward. We just won't be limited to HTML.

Class 2 of 15

Today we will start writing some HTML code. To begin, make sure you have read chapter 2 in your book to get some basic understand of HTML tags and how we format an HTML page.

Welcome to J105 summer 2018

Welcome to the online home of JMC 105 Web Page design for the summer 2018.

Everything you need to complete this class will be posted here starting on May 21.

You should purchase the class textbook (Sam's Teach Yourself HTML and CSS in 24 Hours 9th Edition) if you have not already. I have used this book for a few years now, so there are certainly other students on campus who have a copy you can borrow.

In the meantime, click the tabs at the top of this page to learn more about the class.
